BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua) -- China pocketed two gold medals in the men's 10m air rifle and the men's 25m rapid fire pistol competitions at the Shooting World Cup Beijing here on Friday.
Hui Zicheng claimed gold after shooting a score of 249.4. The youngest participant of this final, India's 17-year-old Divyansh Singh Panwar missed out on the gold by just 0.4 points. Grigorii Shamakov of Russia settled for a bronze with a score of 227.5.
Hui admitted that he felt pressure in the final.
"All athletes have to deal with pressure. I tried my best in the qualification in order to experience the tension of the final. It is faith and love that helped me conquer the pressure. My parents came to Beijing today to support me," he said.
Hui added that he had confidence in the three-position shooting in Munich in May.
On rapid fire pistol event, the 2018 world champion Lin Junmin sealed the gold medal with a score of 35 out of 40 shots, beating the silver medalist of the 2014 World Championships Oliver Geis of Germany and 2016 Rio Olympics silver medalist Jean Quiquampoix of France.
