SHANGHAI, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Leading Chinese cement producer Anhui Conch Cement Co. Ltd. posted a 27.3 percent year-on-year growth in net profit for the first quarter of 2019 following strong growth last year.
In a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Conch Cement said it earned a net profit of 6.08 billion yuan (903 million U.S. dollars) in the first three months.
During the period, revenue jumped 62.5 percent year-on-year to 30.5 billion yuan.
In March, the company said its net profit for 2018 soared 88.1 percent year-on-year to 29.8 billion yuan while revenue rose 70.5 percent to 128.4 billion yuan.
