2 crew members injured in Algerian military helicopter crash

ALGIERS, May 2 (Xinhua) -- An Algerian military helicopter on Thursday crashed in the province of El Oued, 600 km southeastern Algiers, with two crew members injured, local media reported.

Ennahara television channel said the helicopter crashed on an agricultural field shortly after taking-off, due to technical failure.

The helicopter's pilot and his assistant were rushed to hospital to get medical care.

No official statement has yet been issued by the Ministry of Defense regarding the incident.
