BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) -- A total of 324 bamboo and wooden slips from the Warring States Period (475 B.C.- 221 B.C.) have been unearthed by Chinese archeologists in central China's Jingzhou, Hubei Province.
The slips recorded the posthumous titles of 12 kings of the Chu State in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770 B.C.- 256 B.C.) and stories of some significant figures of the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 B.C.- 771 B.C.).
It was part of the findings unveiled by the country's National Cultural Heritage Administration at a meeting on Monday.
The finding of the 324 bamboo and wooden slips provided important materials that could help prove the major historical facts of the early Western Zhou Dynasty and help with the research of the Chu State, according to the administration.
