MOSCOW, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Each of the families of the victims killed in Sunday's deadly plane fire will receive monetary compensation totalling 9 million rubles (135,000 U.S. dollars) per victim, Russian Transport Minister Yevgeny Dietrich said Tuesday.

"All necessary decisions have been made on payments to relatives of the victims. The families of the victims will be paid 9 million rubles each: 2 million in insurance payments, 2 million in regional payments, 5 million in payments from Aeroflot," Dietrich said at a government meeting, according to an official transcript.

Operational headquarters have been set up in the Murmansk region to provide relatives of the victims with all kinds of assistance, including social services, health care and psychological help, Dietrich said.

On Sunday, an Aeroflot SSJ-100 passenger plane en route to the northwestern Russian city of Murmansk caught fire during an emergency landing at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow shortly after takeoff, killing 41 out of 78 people on board.

Russia's Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for further investigation and the cause of the incident is being verified.

It will take up to one week to complete the analysis of information obtained from the black boxes of the plane, Tass news agency reported.
