China, ROK should deepen cooperation, coordination: vice president

BEIJING, May, 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan Wednesday met with the Republic of Korea (ROK) National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang in Beijing, calling for more coordination and cooperation between the two countries for greater achievements.

Noting that China and the ROK enjoy good relations under the leadership of the two heads of state, Wang said China and the ROK have similar cultural traditions featuring inclusiveness, which enable the two countries to work together to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results on international affairs through coordination and cooperation.

"Facing the complex international situations, China and the ROK should continue deepening bilateral cooperation and enhancing coordination and cooperation in the multilateral arena to achieve new development of bilateral relations," Wang said.

Moon said the ROK and China are close neighbors, and the ROK side stands ready to work with China to further deepen cooperation across-the-board and jointly safeguard regional stability.
