BEIJING, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will visit Japan from May 16 to 18 at the invitation of Japanese national security advisor Shotaro Yachi, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Monday.
The two officials will also hold the sixth China-Japan high-level political dialogue. At this dialogue, which is an annual consultation plan agreed on by the two sides, the two sides will exchange views on China-Japan relations and issues of common concern, spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a regular press briefing.
