FRANKFURT, May 16 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 210.80 points, or 1.74 percent, to close at 12,310.37 points.
Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 9.37 percent. Multinational chemical firm Linde and multinational software corporation SAP by 3.95 percent and 2.76 percent respectively.
Deutsche Post lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.78 percent. Automotive supplier Continental down by 1.39 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen down by 0.68 percent.
SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 143.0 million euros (160.1 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
