RIO DE JANEIRO, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The Brazilian government condemned on Tuesday the recent attacks against the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).

On May 18, terrorists targeted the MINUSMA in Timbuktu and Tessalit in northern Mali, killing a Nigerian soldier and wounding several others.

The Brazilian government deeply regrets the two attacks last week, and expresses condolences to the family of the victim and to the government of Nigeria, the Brazilian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"Brazil reaffirms its support for the work of MINUSMA and the efforts of the international community to stabilize Mali," the statement said.
