JAKARTA, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo stressed Wednesday that he would not tolerate anyone attempting to disrupt security and the ongoing process of democracy following unrest that killed six people after release of poll results.

Widodo said that police and military will take stern actions against rioters trying to create violence and anarchy.

"I do not tolerate anyone who will disturb security, process of democracy, and the unity of our beloved nation. We will not give rooms to rioters who will disrupt our nation," said Widodo.

"There is no choice, the military and police will take firm actions in accordance with the law," he added.

Meanwhile defeated presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto has expressed concern on the casualties and those injured in the riot, calling the protesters and security authorities to refrain from engaging in violence.

"Avoid physical assault, be polite and respect apparatus," Prabowo urged his camp.

Hundreds of people suddenly attacked the election supervisory agency headquarters before midnight Tuesday, but the police pushed them away from the spot before engaging in clash with the rioters.

Rioters also attacked police dormitories and burned several cars in some other spots in the capital.

Jakarta has been on terror alert as terrorists have plotted to use the mass rally to create chaotic situation, police said after nabbing dozens of alleged militants before the poll results were released Tuesday.
