BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's action film "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" topped the Chinese mainland box office on Tuesday, the China Movie Data Information Network said Wednesday.
The film pulled in around 29.97 million yuan (about 4.3 million U.S. dollars) on the day and grossed more than 553 million yuan in five days since its debut on the mainland.
It was followed by Disney's live-action "Aladdin," which earned around 7.86 million yuan.
Coming in the third was Japanese animation "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon Exploration," the last Doraemon feature film that brought in around 2.54 million yuan.
