TOKYO, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Friday morning following Wall Street's rise overnight, with a comparatively weak yen versus the U.S. dollar helping lift exporter issues.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 104.86 points, or 0.50 percent, from Thursday to 20,878.90.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 5.68 points, or 0.37 percent, at 1,530.59.

Oil and coal product, mining and machinery-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
