CINCINNATI, United States, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Two first-half goals from Newcastle United forward Salomon Rondon fired Venezuela to a 3-0 victory over a lackluster United States in their international friendly here on Sunday.

Venezuela will begin their Copa America campaign against Peru in Porto Alegre next Saturday. The USA, meanwhile, will start their CONCACAF Gold Cup quest with a clash against Guyana in Minnesota on June 18.
Meanwhile, Mateus Uribe scored either side of halftime as Colombia beat Peru 3-0 at Lima's Estadio Monumental
