TOKYO, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened marginally lower Wednesday, following U.S. shares being pressured overnight on investors concerns over the future course of the global economy amid ongoing trade issues.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 15.75 points, or 0.07 percent, from Tuesday to 21,188.53.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 3.14 points, or 0.20 percent, at 1,558.18.
Miscellaneous product, securities house and insurance-linked issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
