HEFEI, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Police in eastern China's Anhui Province solved an online drug trade case recently, arresting 10 suspects and intercepting over 60 kg of cannabis.

The public security bureau of the city of Ningguo said they were tipped off in November 2018 that a man and a woman staying in a hotel frequently packaged something up and delivered those parcels.

Local police then conducted an investigation and found the two suspects sold cannabis online. They hid cannabis in snack boxes and sent them to buyers through couriers.

The two suspects were arrested by police after 10 days, and 63 grams of cannabis were intercepted on the spot. Another two buyers in southwestern Sichuan and central Hubei provinces were detained later, and 100 grams of cannabis were seized.

Anhui police later confirmed another two cannabis suppliers in eastern Jiangsu Province and worked with Jiangsu Police to capture them, seizing around 60 kg of cannabis and planting tools.

The two suppliers have gained more than one million yuan (about 144,500 U.S. dollars) of illegal profits. Further investigation into the case is underway, the police said.
