LONDON, June 13 (Xinhua) -- British stocks closed flat on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.01 percent, or 0.95 point, to close at 7,368.57 points.
Ferguson, a multinational plumbing and heating products distributor, soared 5.88 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. DS Smith and Smurfit Kappa Group increased by 5.13 percent and 4.78 percent, respectively.
Persimmon, a British housebuilding company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.49 percent.
