India's foreign exchange reserves reach 423.5 bln USD: RBI

NEW DELHI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- India's central bank the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that the country's foreign exchange reserves (Forex) has increased by 1.68 billion U.S. dollars to 423.55 billion U.S. dollars for the week ended June 7.

The data, released by the RBI on Friday, stated that the Forex reserves had increased by 1.875 billion U.S. dollars to 421.867 billion U.S. dollars in the previous reporting week.

The reserves had touched 426.028 billion U.S. dollars in April 2018.

While the foreign currency assets stood at 395.80 billion U.S. dollars, gold reserves remain unchanged at 22.95 billion U.S. dollars, the data stated.

Besides, the special drawing rights was at 1.44 billion U.S. dollars and the reserve position rose to 3.33 billion U.S. dollars.
