BEIRUT, June 17 (Xinhua) -- House Speaker Nabih Berri called upon Palestinian parties in Lebanon to hold a conference in Beirut to announce a unified stance with regard to the "Deal of the Century," local media reported on Monday.

Berri said that the conference would witness the participation of different political parties regardless of internal political differences in a bid to announce their commitment to the Palestinian cause, according to Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.

Berri also said he is ready to get in contact with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to organize a set of activities aimed at emphasizing the rejection of this deal by the Lebanese and Palestinians.

Lebanon's head of the parliament also suggested to hold the conference in parallel to the economic event which will be held in Bahrain's Manama later this month in preparation for the deal.

The U.S. administration is planning to soon present the peace plan for resolving the conflict in the Middle East.

U.S. President Donald Trump's "Deal of the Century" has already been heavily criticized for the exclusion of a Palestinian state.

The Palestinians have announced that they reject it.
