SINGAPORE, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.3 percent, or 9.87 points, to close at 3,311.53.
A total of 1.38 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (about 0.75 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 169 to 214.
The STI index went up 0.21 percent, or 6.89 points, to close at 3,321.4 Friday.
