SANAA, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said they fired a short-range ballistic missile toward a coalition-led camp near Saudi Arabia's border city of Jizan on Wednesday, the group's al-Masirah TV reported.

The missile targeted the leadership headquarters in the Special Forces Camp led by the Saudi-led coalition and hit the target accurately, the Houthi television said, citing a statement from the group's so-called missile force.

There was no confirmation from the coalition on the alleged attack.

The Houthi attacks against sites of Saudi Arabia and the coalition have witnessed an increase in frequency and intensity in recent weeks.

On Sunday, a Syrian was killed and eight others were wounded in a Houthi drone attack on Saudi Abha international airport, according to the Saudi authorities.

Last week, 26 civilians were injured in a projectile attack that targeted Abha airport.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a coalition to fight in Yemen for more than four years in support of the exiled Yemeni government against the Iran-allied Houthis.
