KUWAIT CITY, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday condemned a terrorist attack targeting Egypt's North Sinai.
In a cable of condolences sent to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the emir expressed strong condemnation of this heinous act, saying that the terrorist act was a blatant violation of international laws and a perilous escalation that threatens security and stability in the region.
At least seven Egyptian policemen, including one officer, were killed in a terrorist attack on several check points in the North Sinai city of Arish, said a statement of the country's Interior Ministry on Wednesday.
