JERUSALEM, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A total of 15 Iraqi female social workers and caregivers have been trained in Israel to treat war victims suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Israeli Bar-Ilan University (BIU) said Wednesday.

The 15 women from northern Iraq came to Israel as part of cooperation between BIU and the Israel Forum for International Humanitarian Aid (IsraAID), an Israeli-based humanitarian aid agency.

The training was conducted by three Israeli researchers and partners who have joined an international initiative to assist those harmed by the Islamic State extremist group.
