PARIS, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Paris Saint-Germain announced on Wednesday that their training center and youth academy training center in Poissy have been granted environmental and building permits.

As the first ever 100% PSG facility, the new multisport venue is a key part of the club's development strategy.

The building permit applications were submitted in January 2018, and granted following a public inquiry, which was carried out between Feb. 18 and March 29, 2019. The training center is scheduled to be opened in summer of 2022.

Located 25 minutes away from the Parc des Princes and 10 minutes from the Ooredoo Center, the 74-hectare training center will boast 150,000 square meters of outdoor spaces for training, 17 football pitches, 2 dojos and more than 4,000 square meters dedicated to handball. A 3,000-seat stadium will host competitions for the women's team.

The training center will offer optimum living, training and learning conditions, enabling the club to innovate in all aspects of performance over the long term and offer comprehensive guidance for youth academy players and professional players alike.

The preparatory work will begin this September, and the building work is due to start in spring of 2020.
