Israeli exports to China down 27.2 pct in H1

JERUSALEM, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Israeli exports to China fell by 27.2 percent in the first half of 2019, according to figures released Wednesday by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics.

According to the data, Israeli exports to China totaled about 3.7 billion U.S. dollars in January-June 2019, compared with 5.08 billion U.S. dollars in the same period in 2018.

Last June, there was a 5-percent drop in Israeli exports to China reaching 817 million U.S. dollars, compared with 860 million U.S. dollars in June 2018.

The data also showed that Israeli imports from China remained almost unchanged, about 4.36 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2019, compared with 4.39 billion U.S. dollars in January-June 2018.

In June 2019, Israeli imports from China totaled 733 million U.S. dollars, down 12.5 percent from 837.4 million U.S. dollars in the first half of 2018.

Total Israeli exports in the first half of 2019 amounted to 30.6 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 32.6 billion U.S. dollars in January-June 2018, representing a decline of about 6.1 percent.

Total Israeli imports in the first half of 2019 were about 38.3 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 38.6 billion U.S. dollars in those months in 2018.
