AMMAN, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Wednesday reviewed investment opportunities and explored potential cooperation in various arenas with Turkey.

At a meeting with a Turkish business delegation in Amman, Jordan's Prime Minister Omar Razzaz highlighted Jordan's key positions as a gateway for markets in the region and reviewed cooperation with Turkey in several areas.

Jordanian and Turkish officials at the talks in Amman highlighted keenness to boost bilateral relations, according to the official Petra news agency.

Jordanian officials stressed the attractiveness of the investment climate in Jordan, which is signatory to several free trade agreements.

Jordan terminated a free trade agreement with Turkey in 2018 as Jordan did not benefit from the agreement and Turkish exports to Jordan rose sharply, while Jordanian exports to Turkey did not radically improve.

The two countries said they were working on drafting a new economic cooperation agreement.
