BEIJING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Thursday published five typical cases, urging prosecutors across the nation to ensure accurate nature determination of cases in China's campaign against organized crimes and local mafias.
Prosecutors should study the examples to avoid overstating or understating the nature when handling cases suspected of involving organized crimes or mafias, said a source with the SPP special office overseeing its work in the campaign.
Procuratorates should give full play to their duties of arrest approval, prosecution and litigation supervision in accordance with the law to make sure the campaign adheres to the rule of law, said the source.
