CAIRO, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Algeria's interim President Abdelkader Bensalah arrived here Thursday to support his country's team against Senegal in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final, official news agency MENA reported.
Algeria booked its seat to the final after defeating Nigeria 2-1 in the semi-final competitions.
This is the third time that Algeria has reached the final in the history of the AFCON.
Cairo International Airport announced readiness to welcome thousands of Algerians to arrive at Cairo in the coming few hours to cheer for their team, the report added.
The match will be played on Friday at Cairo International Stadium.
