Defending champions retain mixed doubles title in Indonesia Open

JAKARTA, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia Open defending champion Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo retained their mixed doubles titles after beating senior compatriots Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan 21-19, 21-16 in the final here on Sunday.

With the win, Marcus and Kevin pocketed money prize of 92,500 U.S. dollars, while Hendra and Ahsan received 43,750 dollars as runners-up.

In the men's singles final, Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei beat Anders Antonsen of Denmark 21-18, 24-26 and 21-15 in one hour and 31 minutes.

Chou earned 87,500 U.S. dollars and Antonsen pocketed 42,500 dollars.

Indonesia Open is a BWF World Tour Super 1000 series, offers total prize of 1.25 million dollars. It is one of three BWF tournaments in the category, the others are China Open and All England.
