RAMALLAH, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Palestine and Jordan on Tuesday signed agreements over the timetables to boost trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreements were signed by Palestinian Minister of National Economy Khaled al-Osaily and Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Tareq Hamouri during a ceremony attended by Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye.
"The signed agreements are a true interpretation on the ground of reality by putting agreed-upon timetables for implementation and won't remain only ink on papers," said Ishtaye.
Meanwhile, al-Osaily said the Palestinian Authority is seeking to increase trade with Jordan and make Jordan "the commercial gate for the Palestinians" to enter other Arab countries.
For his part, Hamouri expressed Jordan's readiness to "boost the Palestinian economy and facilitate the shipment of Palestinian products to Jordan."
