BRATISLAVA, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- After losing 2-1 on home turf in the first leg of Europa League's second qualifying round last week, Slovakia's Dunajska Streda failed to mount a comeback on Thursday and lost to Greek team Atromitos 3-2 in the second leg.
Alexandros Katranis concluded his slalom through the guests' defense with a shot from close range to open the score in the 22nd minute and Georgios Manousos stretched the lead to 2-0 five minutes later on a penalty.
In the second half, Dunajska Streda cut the deficit into one after Eric Ramirez's attempt from inside the box and Zsolt Kalmar tied things up on a penalty shot. Spyros Risvanis' successful header made it 3-2 and sent Atromitos to the third qualifying round of Europa League where they will face either Legia Warsaw of Poland or the Finnish Kups Kuopio.
