TIRANA, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Albanian Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj said on Monday that there will be no tolerance for those businesses that violate the law while presenting the results of the implementation of the plan against unlawful acts during the month of July.

At a press conference Denaj declared that the implementation of the plan will continue to be extended to all sectors identified at risk like the touristic hotels, hydrocarbons, construction products, where the main focus will be on better coordination of structures to detect evasion.

"In July, in the sector of touristic hotels, the tax administration has inspected about 2,000 entities and about 40 percent of them were found with problems," Denaj said.

The minister said that from the controls conducted by the Labour Inspectorate in 1,400 inspected entities with 10,600 employees in total, 38 percent of them resulted in problems in insuring the employees.

According to Denaj, the Albanian government is planning to make some changes in the Tax Procedures Code aiming to prevent businesses to avoid penalties through court decisions.

Moreover, Denaj said that 200 newly graduated students selected by the National Employment Service will be engaged in the field to assist the Tax Administration Monitoring Structures in the framework of the Operational Plan against Unlawful Acts.

The entire operational plan aims at formalizing the Albanian economy in order for the consumers' money to be invested in services like education, health and public infrastructure, added the minister. Enditem
