FRANKFURT, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 90.55 points, or 0.78 percent, to close at 11,567.96 points.
Multinational chemical firm Linde lost 3.24 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by Deutsche Bank and European health care company Fresenius SE, which lost 2.35 percent and 2.08 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard gained 3.50 percent, becoming the top gainer. Personal-care company Beiersdorf and Deutsche Post advanced 3.20 percent and 2.26 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 280.3 million euros (313.5 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
