5.4-magnitude quake strikes Japan's Aomori Prefecture: JMA

TOKYO, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.4 struck Japan's northern Aomori Prefecture, the weather agency here said Thursday.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the temblor's epicenter was located at a latitude of 40.8 degrees north and longitude of 141.4 degrees east and occurred at a depth of 90 km.
