WELLINGTON, New Zealand, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand on Saturday announced the launch of "Network Enabled Army Project" to adapt to the new digital era.
The programme provides the Army with a broad range of hardware and software, including radios and satellite terminals, enabling it to function in the fast-moving digital environment, Defense Minister Ron Mark said.
“It will offer the modern secure digital services New Zealand Army needs in remote locations and austere environments,” Mark added.
The project will be rolled out over the next four years.
