BEIRUT, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's House Speaker Nabih Berri said Tuesday that the unity of Arabs, Christians and Muslims in the region will guarantee their rights and those of the Palestinians, the National News Agency reported.

"When we restore our unity as Arabs, Christians and Muslims, we can recuperate Palestine and get back our full rights which have been a target for the Israeli enemy," Berri said during his meeting with students from Amal Movement.

He added that the lack of unity among Arabs impedes achievements and leads to conspiracies by the enemy such as the Deal of the Century which is a clear attempt to eliminate the Palestinian cause.

U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law and presidential adviser Jared Kushner submitted an economic plan to solve the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, but the proposal was dismissed by Palestinians, Lebanon and many others.

The deal hopes to improve the Palestinian economy by reducing unemployment rate and poverty rate by 50 percent.

While the deal focuses on economy mostly, it does not recognize a two-state settlement, as Trump also refuses to clearly condemn Israel's settlement policy in the occupied territories.
