PARIS, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.87 percent, or 47.23 points, to close at 5,388.25 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 28 lost in the day.
French software company Dassault Systemes dropped 3.59 percent. European multinational aerospace corporation and the world's second biggest aerospace and defence company Airbus Group lost 2.80 percent while French multinational information technology consulting corporation Cap Gemini went down by 2.29 percent.
French banking group Societe Generale advanced 2.08 percent. French public relations company Publicis Groupe rose 1.24 percent. French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault added 1.17 percent. Enditem
