BEIJING, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.08 percent to open at 2,896 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.16 percent higher at 9,429 points.
