SINGAPORE, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.3 percent, or 9.38 points, to close at 3,155.71.
A total of 927.37 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 989.70 million Singapore dollars (about 717.28 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 210 to 170.
The STI index went up 0.06 percent, or 1.85 points, to close at 3,146.33 Monday.
