KHARTOUM, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok will travel to Juba, capital of South Sudan, on Thursday, in his first foreign visit since his appointment on Sept. 8, according to Sudan's information minister.
"The prime minister will head to Juba for a visit to South Sudan on Thursday," said Faisal Mohamed Saleh at a press conference in Khartoum Tuesday.
Sudan's transitional cabinet on Tuesday held its first meeting, chaired by Hamdok, after taking the constitutional oath on Sunday.
Juba is hosting talks between Sudan's sovereignty council and leaders of armed groups in Sudan's Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile regions.
