RABAT, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will fly between Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca and Beijing Daxing International Airport on Jan. 16, 2020.

It is the first non-stop flight to China from Morocco, said RAM in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement quoted Hamid Addou, CEO of RAM, as saying that "this long-awaited new air route will respond to a strong need expressed by economic operators in both countries and will contribute to further strengthening trade and economic relations between Morocco and China."

The flight will be operated by B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 302 seats, including 26 in business class, the statement added.

The duration of the flight will be less than 13 hours, with three frequencies per week, it said.

The statement noted that departure from Casablanca will be scheduled every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

As to return flights from Beijing, it will be scheduled every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
