JERUSALEM, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Israel and Croatia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cyber cooperation, the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) said on Thursday.
The MoU was signed in Israel's coastal city of Tel Aviv by Yigal Unna, director general of the INCD, and Davor Bozinovic, Croatia's minister of interior and deputy prime minister.
The two parties signed the MoU after holding a meeting to discuss the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation, especially cyber cooperation.
During the meeting, several leading cyber companies from Israel presented advanced cyber solutions and technologies.
The MoU lays foundation for the development of future cyber protection collaborations such as information exchange and development of human capabilities.
As part of Israel's strategy to establish its position as a global cyber leader and to ensure functional continuity of the Internet space, Israel is expanding its cooperation with other countries around the world, said the INCD.
The INCD is responsible for all aspects of Israel's cyber defense in the civilian sphere, from formulating policy and building technological power for operational defense in cyberspace.
