VILNIUS, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- A traditional Nations' Fair opened in Lithuania's capital Vilnius on Friday, hosting around 400 craftsmen, folk artists, bakers and chefs who present various national dishes, customs and traditions in the city streets.

"You will definitely smell the aromas of the fair first -- various stands offering national food in the streets of Vilnius will lure you from afar. Get acquainted with national customs and traditions, from famous German sausages...and other delicacies that will definitely tempt you to taste everything," the fair's organizers said on their website.

The main purpose of the three-day fair is to showcase the diversity of Lithuania's multicultural traditions and present the ethnic communities living in Lithuania -- their crafts, national dishes, customs and domestic traditions.

On Saturday, visitors will be introduced to Lithuania's western Samogitia region. According to the fair's program, traditional Samogitian dishes and traditions will be presented.

On Sunday, a family basketball tournament and bicycle competition will be organized, where adults will compete on children's bikes.

The country's largest guitar will also be on display.
