KHARTOUM, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Sudan on Sunday condemned Saturday's attacks against Saudi oil facilities.

"Sudan has followed with concern the news about the heinous attack which targeted vital Saudi oil facilities on Saturday," said Sudan's Foreign Ministry in a statement.

"Sudan government expresses its condemnation of this terrorist attack on the civilian Saudi facilities and infrastructures as a heinous and criminal act that violates all international laws," it noted.

The ministry voiced Sudan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia's government and people in adopting all the necessary measures to protect its security, economy and citizens.

It urged the international community to exert its utmost effort to confront these continued attacks which have become a threat to the regional and international security and peace.

Saudi Arabia on Saturday announced that drone attacks targeted two sites of Saudi petroleum company Aramco, which caused fires that were controlled later.

The Yemeni Houthi group claimed responsibility for the attacks which it said were conducted by 10 drones.
