BEIRUT, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon and Estonia signed an economic agreement on Wednesday aimed at enhancing cooperation on private sectors, said a statement by Beirut's Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
The agreement was signed by Estonia's Deputy Foreign Minister Andre Rondeau and Nabil Fahed, vice president of Beirut's Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
It aims at cooperating in the exchange of information, in addition to facilitating the work conducted by businessmen between Lebanon and Estonia.
Rondeau said that he will seek to facilitate the import of products from Lebanon to Estonia while he hoped that Lebanon could also increase their imports from his country.
For his part, Fahed said the trade volume between the two countries is still very low, emphasizing to adopt measures to increase Lebanese exports to Estonia.
