TOKYO, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Friday as investors' expectations for easing measures from global central banks rose including from the Bank of Japan who indicated a day earlier it would roll out further measures if necessary.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 65.18 points, or 0.30 percent, from Thursday to 22,109.63.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 4.10 points, or 0.25 percent, at 1,619.76.
Precision instrument, real estate and miscellaneous product-linked issues comprised those that gained the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
