WINDHOEK, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Rugby coach Phil Davies announced Friday his starting line up ahead of their opening Rugby World Cup Pool B tie against Italy at Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Japan on Sunday.
The coach announced that Tjiuee Uanivi will lead the 'Welwitschias' while Darryl De La Harpe who earns his 50th cap will be his assistant.
Namibia Rugby on Friday on their social media page said that Davies announced that his team is well prepared.
"In the next four weeks, we will be judged on how well we've done over the past four years. We're in a good position. Johan Deysel had a bang on his shoulder just before we left," he said.
According to Davies, Deysel is recovering really well, "we just need more of the pain to go away. There's no other damage and he should be fine for next week," he added.
Meanwhile, the captain Uanivi said leading the team will be a massive privilege.
"I'm really excited, but there's a lot of leaders within our group that just makes my job easier," he added.
