VILNIUS, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Lithuanian President's Office as an institution has achieved record approval in public polls, according to a survey published on Friday.

Seventy-nine percent of the Lithuanian people say they trust the President's Office, showed the survey conducted by Baltijos tyrimai and local news agency ELTA.

It is a record approval rate the country's President's Office has achieved in history. The institution has increased its popularity amid the leadership of the new President Gitanas Nauseda who has taken office in July.

According to political analysts, record approval rate for the President's Office could be attributed to communication efforts by the president's team.

"We have seen a constant flow of different news and views about the president's work. People can see what the president and his team are doing," professor Lauras Bielinis, political analyst at Vytautas Magnus University, explained to news website delfi.lt .

During the 10-year leadership of the previous President Dalia Grybauskaite, the President's Office had seen its highest approval rate in 2010, with 73 percent of people saying they trust the institution. Enditem
