CAIRO, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Egypt's top football club Al-Ahly won the Egyptian Super Cup on Friday evening by a narrow 3-2 win over Zamalek at a stadium in the coastal northern province of Alexandria.

Nigerian forward Junior Ajayi opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 19th minute by a powerful shot inside the box. Hussein el-Shahat scored the second right before the end of the first half through an unbelievable blunder by a Zamalek defender and Ajayi scored again in the 48th minute of the match.

Al-Ahly were in the lead by three goals until the 64th minute, when Zamalek started a remarkable comeback by a goal from penalty scored by Mahmoud Alaa, who also scored another penalty in the 75th minute into the same left bottom corner of Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed el-Shennawi.

By this victory, Al-Ahly have lifted the Egyptian Super Cup for the 11th time in their history, while Zamalek won it three times.
