FRANKFURT, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 35.18 points, or 0.28 percent, to close at 12,307.15 points.
Chemical group BASF lost 2.24 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and Deutsche Bank, which lost 2.16 percent and 2.00 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard gained 2.61 percent, the top gainer. German airlines Lufthansa and housing association Vonovia advanced 2.04 percent and 1.09 percent respectively.
Volkswagen was the most traded share, with a turnover of 223.0 million euros (245.3 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
