Friendly exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan have become increasingly close and fruitful in recent years, the forum's organizers said.

BISHKEK, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese-Kyrgyz youth forum titled "I and China" was held here Monday on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

In recent years, friendly exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan have become increasingly close and fruitful, as a number of outstanding scientists and young specialists have emerged in various fields, the organizers of the forum said in a press release.

Especially after the friendly visit of the Chinese head of state to Kyrgyzstan in June, young specialists from all circles of society have started to pay more attention to the development of bilateral relations, it said.

In an address, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen introduced the achievements China and the Chinese people have made over the last 70 years.

She said that over the past seven decades, China's economic development has repeatedly broken records and created economic miracles, while the living standard of the Chinese people has improved significantly.

Meanwhile, Du highlighted China's great achievements on the world stage and in the field of sci-tech innovation, noting that the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative has become the largest platform for international cooperation and the most popular global public product in the world.

The ambassador also expressed hope for closer contact and stronger mutual understanding between the young generations of China and Kyrgyzstan, adding that the youth are the driving force of the Chinese-Kyrgyz friendship.

The forum, organized by the Chinese embassy in Kyrgyzstan and the Bishkek Humanities University, was attended by representatives of Kyrgyz state authorities, business people, experts, scientists and public figures.
